By Newsgram Staff Writer
While talking on the 'factors for development for agriculture' at Periyar Maniammai University A P J Abdul Kalam suggested that the farmers should be included as the equity partners in industrial projects when their land is used for the industrial development.
Former President said, "If a nation has to develop, then so should its farmers."
"To achieve this, they should get the right to fix remunerative prices for their produce, just like any other producer," he added.
Moreover, the former President gave stress on the need of conservation of water sources and on the steps that shall be taken to retrieve encroached water bodies.
