Is Delhi corrupt? AAP’s anti corruption helpline gets over 12,000 calls on the first day

The Anti-graft helpline, started by Delhi’s AAP government with much fanfare last Sunday is up and running.

The helpline received 12,731 calls within 24 hours of its setting up.

The government said although a lot of calls were not serious, those which were, have been forwarded to the Anti-Corruption Branch.

“Several calls were related to complaints against the officials of Delhi Police, education department, transport department, Jal Board, Delhi Fire (Services),” said a government’s official statement.

AAP has decided to make Delhi India’s first corruption free city.
