Lambasting Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his DNA remark against him, he said it was "ashobhniya" of a PM to refer to a Chief Minister's DNA. Refuting the claim that Bihar has turned into a den for criminals, he alleged, crime was more in BJP-ruled states like Maharashtra, MP, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Haryana and Jharkhand.

Notably, Kaushal Yadav, the three-time JD-U MLA from Govindpur who has been shifted to Hisua this time and his three-time JD-U MLA wife from Nawada who has been shifted to Govindpur on a Congress ticket, were absent on the occasion.
