Around 12 youths have been pinned down by security agencies for allegedly raising the flag of terror outfit ISIS in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to media reports, they were identified on the basis of intelligence inputs, footage of CCTV cameras, still and video photographs.

“The 12 youths were behind almost all incidents where ISIS flags were raised in Kashmir. We are keeping a close eye on all of them,” a senior official was quoted by PTI.

“Action against the youths is being initiated,” the official added.

Recently a group of youth, with faces covered, carried a black banner resembling Islamic State flag, while marching from Jamia Masjid towards Nowhatta chowk in downtown Srinagar soon after the Friday prayers.

In the past few months there have been more than a dozen incidents of ISIS flag raising in Kashmir valley. (IANS)
