New Delhi: Israeli Ambassador to India Daniel Carmon said on Wednesday that when External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj visits Israel next week, cooperation in defense and counter-terrorism will be among the top agenda.
“We attach great importance to this visit,” Carmon said at a media briefing here.
He said cooperation in defense, and counter-terrorism activities will be among the issues of discussion when Sushma Swaraj meets Israel’s top leadership during her visit on January 17-18.
“Defense cooperation has been the central pillar of our relationship,” Carmon said.
He said that India’s ‘Make in India’ campaign had aroused interest of various Israeli defense manufacturing companies.
As for cooperation in counter-terrorism activities, he said: “We should do more and go beyond the established fields.”
