Influential US lawmaker, Tulsi Gabbard, the only Hindu member of the American Congress, has been listed in Congressional Quarterly (CQ)-Roll Call's new book, "Powerful Women: The 25 Most Influential Women in Congress."

Others on the list, which applies to the current 114th Congress, include House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Democrat Elizabeth Warren.

The book discusses how Gabbard has been able to work with Democrats and Republicans and become a foremost voice on military and foreign affairs on the House Armed Services Committee as well as the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

Tulsi Gabbard is a US Democrat Congresswoman from Hawaii and is only in her second term as the 2nd Congressional District representative, but she has made the most of her short time on the national stage.
