Acer Brings its New VR Headset in India

Acer India has launched its new Windows Mixed Reality headset “OJO 500” that features a one-of-a-kind detachable design to offer flexibility, comfort, and hygiene for consumers and businesses.

Priced at Rs 39,999, the new headset will be available from February, 2019.

“The ‘Acer OJO 500’ is packed with several new significant features to add to this class of Windows Mixed Reality headsets,” Chandrahas Panigrahi, CMO and Consumer Business Head, Acer India, said in a statement on Saturday.

It is the first Windows Mixed Reality headset and first Virtual Reality (VR) headset to feature a detachable design, patented built-in sound pipe technology, and software-assisted interpupillary distance (IPD) adjustment technology.

“We have tried to enhance the user experience with innovative audio and visual technologies and have brought to our consumers the most comfortable and easier than ever to use headset,” Panigrahi said.

Taiwanese electronics major Acer on Tuesday launched a wide array of gaming laptops within the price range of Rs 60,000 to Rs 4,50,000 in India.

The new eight devices feature advanced technologies, new designs, advanced cooling system, powered by up to 9th Gen Intel Core i9 processor and infused with NVIDIA GeForce graphics processing units, the company said in a statement.

“We are excited to introduce our latest line-up of gaming devices for Indian gaming enthusiasts,” said Harish Kohli, President And Managing Director, Acer India.

“The new range is built with an emphasis on strong performance, responsiveness and intelligent design,” he added.

“But with no more cards in development, the dream of upgrading the small, interchangeable computers instead of entire devices, like all-in-ones or laptops, seems to have stalled,” the report added. VOA

In addition to the new laptops, the company has also introduced a 32-inch gaming monitor featuring a full curved 1,800 display at a starting price of Rs 7,999. Availability details about the monitor remain undisclosed as of now.

All of the newly launched Acer devices would be available for purchase in the coming days on online stores as well as on Acer Malls.
