Delhi Dynamos FC rope in Jacqueline Fernandez as Brand Ambassador

New Delhi, Oct 4: Indian Super League (ISL) franchise Delhi Dynamos FC on Wednesday named Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez as their brand ambassador for the upcoming season.

“Heading into the fourth edition of the tournament, Jacqueline will help the club in embracing and engaging with fans across the country,” the Delhi outfit said in a statement.

Delhi Dynamos Director Rohan Sharma expressed his delight on becoming the first Indian club to get a female member on board and said: “With Jacqueline coming on board, Delhi Dynamos will become the first Indian Football Club to have a female brand ambassador. This goes in line with the club’s vision to be not only a club of India, but a club with international ambitions.”

“I am really excited and looking forward to interacting with the fans in Delhi. Delhi Dynamos is a team that has been consistent in their performances over the years and hopefully this time we can win the ISL together. The club and I share the same view, to help promote the sport and engage more female audience into watching and playing the game, and hopefully together we can bring a change,” Jacqueline Fernandez said.

The ISL season 4 will kick-off on November 17. Delhi Dynamos will play their first fixture in the tournament on November 22.(IANS)

“Nutrition plays a very important role when you’re an MMA fighter and now that we are in the finals, this is a huge aspect. We curated a special diet called the 7 Day Miracle Diet since a lot of the Indian MMA fighters lack nourishment,” Jacqueline said in a statement.

“There’s a lot of focus on carbohydrates, nitrate-rich liquids and proteins. MMA is a sport that competes based on weight and fighters are always in a catabolic state. It’s really tough to make strength, endurance and power goals if they aren’t getting enough calories.

“But if an MMA fighter isn’t the right weight, he doesn’t fight so a lot of focus on personal discipline as well to ensure there aren’t many cheat days,” she added. The finale of the mixed martial arts tournament will be held on Saturday.

Super Fight League is a mixed martial arts tournament of which Jacqueline is a part.

Super Fight League, a mixed martial arts tournament, promoted by Bill Dosanjh and British professional boxer Amir Khan, has seen celebrity support from co-owners like Ajay Devgn, Randeep Hooda, Jacqueline, Arbaaz Khan and Tiger Shroff. Season two of the league started on February 9, and the finale will be held at the MTV SFL Arena, Famous Studios. IANS
