The Italian supercar maker Lamborghini is bringing its power monster, Lamborghini Aventador SVJ to India. This is going to be the last car from Lamborghini which will boast a naturally aspirated V12 engine. SVJ (Super Veloce Jota) is the most powerful Aventador ever produced by the marquee. Let's see some of its features.

  • 6.5-Litre V12 engine with 6498 cc displacement
  • Power output of 759 hp at 8500 rpm
  • Max Torque at 720 Nm at 6750 rpm
  • Top speed 350 km/h with acceleration 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds
  • Dimensions 4943 X 2273 X 1136 (mm)
  • Dry Weight 1525 kg
  • ALA (Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva 2.0)
  • 4-wheel steering and 4 active suspension
  • Carbon fiber Design

Now for the most important part, what it feels like to drive an Aventador SVJ. It is pure adrenaline rush and sense of invincibility surging through your body. Aventador features a 6.5- liter V12 engine with titanium intake valves and modified cylinder heads, lightened flywheel for better throttle along with automated manual ISR (Independent Shifting Rods) Transmission. Despite the inclusion of rear-wheel steering and active aero, Aventador boast a power to weight ratio of 0.5 hp/kg. SVJ is coming with ALA 2.0, which was first seen in Huracan Performante. The air vectoring technology channels the air under and side of the car via two active flaps in the front splitter, and the huge rear wings.

The air flow around the car could be manipulated to increase the down-force on the turning side for sharper turn at higher speeds. The new Aventador features magneto-rheological front and rear shock absorbers with pushrod system, which dynamically modifies the behavior of suspension according to road condition and driving mode. The Lamborghini Dynamic steering system (LDR) gives more control over the maneuverability. The stiffer suspension together with LRS (rear wheel steering), the steering system allows for 3% increase in torque. The massive rear wing on the Aventador SVJ comes with vertical side fins and vertical fins at front of the bumper, which makes the car stable at all speeds.

The interiors feel like inside of a cockpit of fighter aircraft, it is more focused on performance rather than luxury. Again, there is extensive use of carbon fiber in the doors, seats, central tunnel and consol. Seats are made of leather and specially designed to hold the driver on sharp turns, there is leather on the steering wheel and rest of the dashboard is made of carbon fiber. Most of the controls are having button design such as in the aircrafts. Navigation systems and infotainment are available on Aventador. Even electrical comforts seats could be installed removing the lighter carbon fiber seats. Rear view camera option is available because of limited view of rearview mirror due to new engine cover.

Now there is no drought that Lambo's are known for their eye-popping looks and Aventador looks like a Greek goddess incarnated as a car. SVJ is all about the aerodynamics, which are patented by Lamborghini. The front of this car is fully redesigned and the side skirts are made a little larger to enhance its aerodynamic profile. The rear wing is omega shaped and exhausts are positioned a little higher. The exterior is designed mainly to manipulate air flow around the car. Use of ultra-lightweight material and carbon fiber is extensive, all in all the Bull is beautifully made.

Lamborghini comes with many active and passive safety systems like Electronic stability control (ABS and TCS integrated). As far as passive features go, car has front and rear specific collapsible areas along with side protection system.

Talking about air bags, it has front dual stage driver airbags and front adaptive passenger airbags, seats with side "head-thorax" airbags and also knee airbags in selected markets.

This beast is coming to India on January 21 and will cost around 6 crores (ex-showroom). There is nothing wrong in saying that like all other Lamborghini, this is also a technological masterpiece and being last of its kind it is rather important to be preserve it. Riding this is ones in life time experience and is defiantly worth it.
