STRANGE: Congress has 52 spokespersons to talk on behalf of just 44 MPs

By Newsgram Staff Writer

A move by Congress to place itself in a better way than it has been since the Lok Sabha elections last year might do it more harm than good.

In a desperate attempt to regain its lost glory, Congress party today announced the appointment of 52 new spokespersons. The move could have been considered practical if the party had a higher representation in the Parliament. But 52 spokespersons talking on the behalf of just 44 MPs seem a bit of a stretch.

The new members of the communication team of the Congress include actress Khushboo, a former DMK politician, Gaurav Gogoi and Sushmita Deb. Former minister CP Joshi, along with Ajay Maken,  Satyabrat Chaturvedi and Shakeel Ahmed have been anointed as the senior spokespersons.

In total, 17 new spokespersons, 31 media panelists and two media coordinators have been added to the ailing old man of the Parliament.
