Even Madhu Kishwar is Now Talking About Modi's Relationship With Gujarat Lady... Mansi Soni

The name ‘Mansi Soni’ has been a quite a topic of media spotlight over the past few years, and has been associated with the infamous ‘Snoopgate’ scandal in Gujarat. The 2009 scandal involved allegations that Amit Shah, then-Gujarat Home Minister, ordered illegal surveillance of a woman architect at the behest of a "saheb," widely believed to be then-Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

Author and academician Madhu Kishwar, in a podcast conversation, have recently alleged newer details about the political scandal, and have also revealed other explosive details about Modi.

The veteran journalist has stirred intense controversy with her sharp criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In a recent detailed podcast interview and her March 2026 posts on X, Kishwar made sweeping accusations against the Prime Minister.

In Satya Hindi’s podcast “Baat Bolegi,” in a conversation with Prof. Mukesh Kumar, Madhu Kishwar alleged that during his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister, Modi was involved in personal relationships with multiple women on an “industrial scale.” She claimed that Gujarat journalists and people close to Modi shared accounts of his “colorful night life,” including using private vehicles to visit women at odd hours. According to her, these stories were widely known in certain circles from his days as a pracharak and BJP office bearer. Kishwar said the disturbing revelations left her so traumatized that she suffered deep depression in 2014-15 and sought Ayurvedic treatment in Coimbatore.

The Mansi Soni Case

A central focus of her allegations is the Mansi Soni case. The lady became the center of a media storm back in 2009, when it was revealed that she was placed under surveillance Amit Shah, who was ordered by Modi. It was also alleged that Soni and Modi had 'intimate' relationship with each other.

IAS Pradeep Sharma, who hired Soni for a landscaping job, was the one who introduced the young architect to Narendra Modi (then chief minister of Gujrat). In a conversation with ABP news, Sharma alleged that Soni has had an ‘intimate’ and ‘close’ relationship with Modi. He also said that the surveillance of Soni, known as the “Snoopgate Scandal", was instigated by Amit Shah at the behest of none other than Modi himself. When asked about the accusations he was leveling at Shah, Sharma called him ‘criminal-minded’ and remarked that Shah has gone to jail in relation to a murder case. 

Sharma also remarked about the increasing secrecy of Modi’s relationship with Soni. He said at first Soni was sending him emails from her personal account, but was told by Modi to make a separate email account for communicating with him. He also said that they utilized separate mobile devices for this purpose.

Madhu Kishwar's Allegations

In the podcast, Kishwar has alleged more about the Mansi Soni case. She stated that the matter had reached the Supreme Court and that a senior bureaucrat close to Modi had shown her the complete set of papers and transcripts. These documents, she claimed, included minute-by-minute updates by Amit Shah on Mansi Soni’s movements, instructions not to let her board flights, and other details of the alleged relationship. She noted that the issue was also openly discussed in the Delhi Assembly by Kapil Mishra and was common knowledge among insiders.

Kishwar further alleged that BJP tickets and ministerial positions were often awarded in exchange for sexual favors and intimacy. She referred to loud whispers within Sangh Parivar networks about certain women leaders, including Smriti Irani, whose appointment as Education Minister added credence to the scandals. She asserted that Modi’s predatory behavior makes him highly vulnerable to blackmail by enemies of the nation.

Beyond personal conduct, Kishwar accused Modi of betraying the Hindu community. She criticized his government for labeling gau rakshaks as goons and jailing them, amending the SGPC Act in Punjab, and the alleged mishandling of the Kathua case, which she detailed in her book The Girl From Kathua. She called Modi a “wolf in sheep’s clothing” who projects himself as a protector of Hindus while advancing policies harmful to them. Kishwar claimed he has been a CIA asset since 1993, received training from the agency, and took a “supari” from globalist mafia to undermine Hindu society.

The veteran writer also criticized the RSS and Sangh ecosystem for compromising on Hindu issues and failing to protect its workers. She highlighted failures in states like Bengal and on demographic changes. In the podcast, she recounted facing several legal cases in the past, including a serious one in Kashmir while recovering from brain surgery, yet noted no action has been taken against her latest allegations.

The controversy has now entered the legal domain. A complaint seeking registration of an FIR against Kishwar has been filed before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court in Varanasi by Advocate Shashank Shekhar Tripathi, Convener of the BJP Legal Cell in the Kashi region. The complaint accuses her of running a malicious social media campaign with defamatory content targeting the Prime Minister, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and the judiciary. The court has directed the police to submit a report before taking further action.

As of now, neither Prime Minister Modi, the BJP, nor the RSS has issued a public response to her core allegations. This isn't the first string of explosive remarks and allegations that Kishwar has made towards Modi. As Kishwar promises to share more evidence for her allegations in future writings and interviews, the questions that arises is this— what action will the Modi government take against her, if at all?
