Rs 4,595 Cr collected from toll plazas across India till mid-November

New Delhi: A total of Rs 4,595 crore has been collected from 348 toll plazas across India in the current fiscal up to November 15, Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Pon Radhakrishnan informed the Rajya Sabha in a written reply on Monday.

Fee is levied and collected on small stretches of National Highways.

However, due to public opposition, toll plazas in Suratkhal-Nantoor section of National Highway (NH) 66 in Karnataka, Nellore Bypass of NH 5 in Andhra Pradesh and Kalamassery- ICTT Vallarpadam of NH 966 in Kerala could not collect toll fee since some months, the minister said.
