Amid the lockdown, superstar Salman Khan is spending his time away away from the city at his farmhouse in Panvel, to aid the fight against coronavirus. Now, he has helped local villagers by donating large quantities of food supplies.
In a video shared on his Instagram account, Salman is seen loading trucks with food ration with the help of Iulia Vantur, Jacqueline Fernandez among others.
“Thanks for the contribution… thank you all @jacquelinef143 @vanturiulia @rahulnarainkanal @imkamaalkhan @niketan_m @waluschaa @abhiraj88,” the “Sultan” star wrote along with the video.
The clip also shows several carts and trucks moving out from the farmhouse, with the superstar himself guiding them out. The video comes after he urged people to take up the ‘Anna Daan’ challenge.
While many of his fans hailed the actor for the generous act, going on to call him a “man with a golden heart” and “Bhaijaan of Bollywood”, there was a section of users who pointed out how Salman and his close associates were not wearing any mask, or gloves — flouting a very basic preventive measure to safeguard oneself against the highly contagious virus.
Meanwhile, Salman recently showcased his singing skills as he sang “Pyaar karona”, a song aimed at cheering up people amid the coronavirus lockdown.
Written by Salman and Hussain Dalal, “Pyaar karona” released on Salman’s YouTube channel. Apart from this, Salman has been seen creating COVID-19 awareness among people through his videos on social media. Recently, he came out with a very serious message for those who have violated the COVID-19 lockdown. He called the violators “jokers”. (IANS)

Salman and the team of his upcoming film “Dabangg 3” recently shot for “The Kapil Sharma Show”.
Kapil asked Salman if he shows his scripts to his father before finalising them. Salman said: “I didn’t narrate him the entire script of ‘Dabangg 3’ but I told him half of the script towards the end, and he very much loved it.”
Salman recalled: “I hardly ever shared scripts with him because he never trusted my scripts. Woh bus kehte the pitegi (he would just say that the film will be a flop).”
Salman Khan has condemned the brutal incident of gang-rape and murder of a young veterinarian on the outskirts of Hyderabad on November 27.
The Bollywood superstar took to social media to vent his anger against the culprits who committed the heinous crime. Salman Khan addressed them as “the worst kind of ‘shaitans’ disguised in the human form.”
Since the last couple of days, hashtags demanding justice for the gang-rape and murder victim have been trending on Twitter.
Using such a hashtag, Salman Khan tweeted, “These are the worst kind of ‘shaitans’ (devils) disguised in the human form! The pain, torture and death of innocent women like Nirbhaya should now get us together and put an end to such ‘shaitans’ who live among us, before any other innocent woman…
“…and their family go through this extreme agony and loss as this has to be stopped. Let betii bachao not be just a campaign. This is the time to let these demons know that we all stand together. May (victim’s name) soul rest in peace.”
Another Bollywood actor, Varun Dhawan, has also expressed his disgust over the incident and raised his voice demanding justice for the victim’s family.
Using the hashtag seeking justice for the victim, Varun tweeted: “We as Indians discuss and are passionate about so many things. The entire country needs to come together and stop rapes from happening. Why is it that girls can be harmed so easily. Why aren’t these evil bastards scared of the law?”
“Right now the only focus has to be on making sure this girl and her family gets justice,” he added in a separate tweet.
Demanding quick investigation into the case, fashion photographer and film producer Atul Kasbekar took to social media to remind everyone that the culprits of the 2012 Delhi gangrape case have not yet been hung.
He tweeted, “When the criminal justice system fails to be an effective deterrent, the run of heinous crime is unabated. In case of rape/murder:
– we must have quick investigation n arrests – fast track courts – quick dispensation of the sentence
PS: The #Nirbhaya killers haven’t been hung as yet.”
On Sunday afternoon, the hashtag #NoMercyToRapists also started trending on Twitter with netizens demanding severe and immediate action against the four accused in the gruesome gang-rape and murder incident.
