An interesting and powerful aspect of the crypto world is NFT's.

By- David Conway

Solana, Ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies like Shiba Inu and Lite Coin all had an incredible year, last year. Due to the unstable nature of cryptocurrency, it is never a guarantee that this success will continue. However, these currencies are placing the foundation for future billion-dollar investments. Regardless of how shaky the ground can be. A lot of risk when placing investments can come down to a lack of research and understanding, so it is always important you independently check any information you receive. An interesting and powerful aspect of the crypto world is NFT's.

A handful of other cryptocurrencies; WOOF Token, Dogs of Elon, and HUH Token are using their interesting utility. Relying on the power of NFT's to help bolster their investments.

NFT

Non-Fungible Tokens, or otherwise known as NFT's, are unique units of non-interchangeable data that are stored on a blockchain. These tokens can represent almost anything, from photos, digital art, GIFs, and even housing. These things get allocated with unique data and then are shown on the blockchain which displays as a certificate of authenticity and a verifiable account of ownership. Owning an NFT means that you only have rights to the original and any copy of that file can be shared freely.

Ethereum was the first to start an NFT system in 2015, interest in this new area grew rapidly with the ever-growing interest in crypto. NFT investment has risen substantially, especially in 2021 where sales went past two billion dollars, nearly 20 times as much as 2020's estimation.

DOGS OF ELON

In the last 24 hours The Dogs of Elon (DOE) have had a trading volume of $18,894,559, rivalling that of big names such as Akita Inu and Baby DogeCoin, according to coinmarketcap.com.

Inspired by CryptoPunks, DOE wanted to bring the dog memes to the NFT market. Understanding the incredible, and frankly odd, power of meme coins The Dogs of Elon wanted to ride that trend. They seem to have investor safety in mind as their Smart Contract has been audited By Certik. There are also plans for donations to Animal Charities in phase 2 of their roadmap, a refreshing ethical move.

Another similar cryptocurrency that is using NFTs is the WOOF Token.

Solana WOOF-ing sells NFTs

WOOF Token allows anyone who uses Solana to buy or put up for sale NFTs with reasonably low transaction fees. Anyone can sell an NFT on the WOOF market and they can place any price in WOOF tokens their heart desires.

Solana, the cryptocurrency that works with WOOF Token is known for its extremely quick blockchain processing times. It works by using a hybrid protocol, allowing for the smart contract to be validated and executed faster than the standard way. It's speed alone caused it to gain over seven hundred percent in value of July of this year. A large majority of their success can be attributed to the rise of interest in NFTs.

An interesting and new token that is about to enter the market on December the 6th is HUH Token. It's main aims and goals are said to be accessibility, profit security, and generational wealth.

There is an NFT incentive going on currently with their pre-sale. It's seeming to be a tiered system where the earlier you purchase the more investment you obtain with unique NFT's being provided at each stage.

The novel thing about this cryptocurrency is its potentially revolutionary referral network. Their smart contract contains this referral scheme so it is stored and recorded on the blockchain and is decentralised. It works by giving investors who purchase HUH tokens for the first time a unique code. This code can be given to any new potential investor. When this new investor purchases HUH Tokens using this referral code the person who gifted the code receives ten percent of that purchase as BNB, this purchase is also done at a lower tax rate. This new person then receives a new referral code so that they can pass it to other potential investors and receive that ten percent.

This perpetual, billion-dollar, community-led concept has the makings of something quite impressive. With rumours of a substantial social media influence, could this be the next Shiba Inu?

Canadian researchers have discovered an overlooked gene that plays a major role in the development of antibodies

Canadian researchers have discovered an overlooked gene that plays a major role in the development of antibodies, which help the immune system recognize and fight viruses including SARS-CoV-2, bacteria and other causes of infectious disease. The gene -- FAM72A -- facilitates production of high-quality antibodies by enabling the effect of an enzyme called AID (for Activation-Induced Deaminase), the researchers showed.

Immunologists have known for two decades that AID is essential to produce antibodies capable of clearing infections, but the full mechanism of its effect has remained unknown. "Our findings answer the long-standing question of how AID does its work," said Alberto Martin, a professor of immunology at the University of Toronto's Temerty Faculty of Medicine. "FAM72A helps AID to promote mutations in antibody genes that are essential for the development of effective antibodies," he added.
