Worried about being overweight? Weight Loss can be a tough journey but there is always a way to achieve your goals. A healthy lifestyle is of utmost importance and for that you definitely need to lose weight. Adding some healthy food items to your diet and following a few lifestyle tips is enough to help you out during your weight loss journey.

Food items that will help you lose weight:

1. Oats

It is a cereal that is usually consumed in the form of rolled oats or oatmeal. Mostly eaten as porridge, can definitely help you lose weight. Consuming oats regularly can help maintain your BMI. Eating oats gives you a feeling of fullness and it reduces your hunger.

2. Apples

“An apple a day keeps the doctor away” is indeed the most truest thing said. Apple is a versatile food item which is enriched with many nutrients. Adding an apple to your weight loss diet is the perfect decision. It also helps maintain your blood pressure.

3. Pumpkin Seeds

Pumpkin seeds contain a lot of antioxidants and are also enriched with a valuable amount of polyunsaturated fatty acids. They are also a great source of dietary fibre that can help you lose weight easily.

4. Broccoli 

It is considered to be one of the most healthiest food items by experts with countless benefits. It helps reduce the cholesterol levels in your body and thus help you out with weight loss too. Broccoli is extremely good for your heart health.

5. Avocados

It is a fruit that contains many beneficial nutrients and fats. People who eat avocados on a daily basis have a lower BMI and are comparatively healthier than people who don’t. They also contain high level of potassium that reduces the risk of heart attack. Not only it helps you lose weight but it also prevents the risk of getting cancer.

Tips for weight loss:

  1. Chew and eat your food slowly.
  2. Get a sleep of at least 6-8 hours.
  3. Do not sit in a particular position for hours. Moving your muscles at regular intervals is necessary.
  4. Exercise/jog or walk regularly.
  5. Cut down sugars and carbohydrates from your diet.
  6. You may adopt intermittent fasting.
  7. Following a keto diet may be helpful.
  8. Eat a meal that is rich in proteins, fibres, vitamins and minerals.
  9. Count on your calories.
  10. Drink green tea twice a day.
