With the country under lockdown and cinema halls shut down, it was the small screen that brought people closer to the experience of watching a Hollywood film, according to a new report binge watch and web surfing was the perfect lockdown combo.\r\n\r\nAs per a new report titled 'Hollywood Is For Everyone', 177 million viewers watch English films and entertainment channels on the TV in India. The Delhi government is all set to launch the 'Red Light On, Gaadi Off' Anti-pollution campaign in all the 272 wards here from November 2 in a move to reduce pollution in the national capital.\r\n\r\nMotivating residents to participate in the campaign, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai on Wednesday urged people to prompt five of their peers, friends, or acquaintances to play their part in reducing city pollution by switching their vehicles off while waiting at the traffic signals.\r\n\r\nAnnouncing that the campaign will be launched in all the 272 wards in Delhi from November 2, the minister said the campaign can reduce around 15-20 percent of pollution in Delhi.<\/p>\r\nFollow NewsGram on\u00a0Twitter<\/a>\u00a0to stay updated about the World news.<\/b>\r\n\r\nWhile participating in the campaign near Delhi Gate near Darya Ganj in Central Delhi, Rai said the Delhi government has deployed environment marshals at all traffic signal crossings across Delhi.\r\n\r\n\"We are witnessing more and more public support towards the campaign of the Delhi government. Now, students can access the study material created by experts from anywhere and anytime and hence education will not be confined to the boundaries of campuses and time,\" Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma, who is also the state's Minister for Secondary and Higher Education, said.\n\n \n\n \n\n\nHe said students, who cannot afford expensive journals and books for studies and research, will benefit from this initiative that does not cost anything.\n\nThe students will have access to study material in English and Hindi prepared by the best teachers of the state universities.\n\nThe Higher Education Department has also announced a helpline number to assist students in case they have any queries related to the e-content available in the digital library.\n\nAdditional Chief Secretary, Higher Education, Monika S. Garg said: \"The digital library is a boon for students, especially during pandemic times. Subject-wise content is available for students to study and download for free.\"\n\n \n\n\nShe said the students will get material for various subjects including science, law, management, social science, engineering, agriculture, foreign languages, etc.\n\nShe said the portal for uploading higher education study material was launched by the department on September 5 and thereafter, September and October were observed as 'Vidyadan Maah' with the objective of ensuring easy availability of quality e-content, online lectures, and study material to students.\n\n\nShe said the digital library became possible in less time with the support of officials of the National Informatics Centre.\n\nOver 61,500 people have already visited the portal. With a growing community of active gamers, the gaming and esports industry in India is likely to witness a boom in the coming years,\" according to YouGov's white paper titled \u00ef\u00bf\u00bdGaming and Esports: The Next Generation'. Among the 24 surveyed markets, India now ranks among the top 10 gaming countries in the world.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n\"This year has also highlighted just how quickly things can change in the gaming ecosystem, making it difficult for advertisers and sponsors to know if, when, and how to spend wisely \u00ef\u00bf\u00bd and for gaming companies to determine how much more growth is on the horizon,\" said Nicole Pike, Global Sector Head of Esports & Gaming at YouGov.\r\n\r\nThe percentage of gamers in India is at par with the US (71 percent) and Australia (72 percent). However, it is still lower than the proportions in South East Asian countries.\r\n\r\nThe leading markets for console gamers are Hong Kong (32 percent), Spain (29 percent), the US (28 percent), the UK (28 percent), and Australia (27 percent).
