Blue Ridge Parkway

The US may have some massive cities full of skyscrapers but a drive around the country will see you taking in some fantastic scenery. That’s definitely the case here as you travel 469 miles from The Great Smoky Mountain National Park to the Shenandoah National Park. There’s plenty of wildlife to see and tourist attractions along the way include Asheville’s Wicked Weed Brewery.

Avenue of the Giants

This one sounds a bit like a television show too. If you love nature, then this trip to California is the one for you. You can see plenty of coastal Redwood Trees along the 31 miles of this journey. It’s not all about driving though because there’s also plenty of opportunities to go swimming hiking or just enjoy a picnic.

The Million Dollar Highway

Thankfully that’s not the price charged for going along this 25-mile road. This forms part of the San Juan Skyway Scenic Byway. Your trip in Colorado goes from Silverton to Ouray and with its sheer drops, it’s almost like being on a rollercoaster. The mountain passes will give you breath-taking views of the state.

Sukha Purvaka Pranayama

This pranayama is effortless breathing that focuses on breathing deeply into each section of the lungs, as the name says. There is a strong emphasis on both internal and exterior breath retention.

Steps:

- Simply breathe in for 4 to 6 counts, filling the lungs up.
- Hold the breath, ideally for the same count, or it can be as long as you can.
- Exhale for 4 to 6 counts, holding the breath out for the same time or as long as you can.
