Soul App

British author Virginia Woolf once said, "For most of history, anonymous was a woman." However, today, a new generation of women is moving forward in their lives, firmly pursuing their passions and dreams, and becoming the person they want to be. From female astronauts taking the first steps during an extravehicular spacewalk, to the Navy's first female captain navigating the deep blue, women from different fields and ages are using their strength, professionalism, and courage to define contemporary female style, shining brightly in this era. On Soul App, a popular social networking platform for young people, you can find many female users who cherish their life, maintain their beliefs, and bravely pursue their dreams.

On Soul App, female empowerment can be found anywhere. She might be a dedicated village teacher, showing great love and persistence in her work; a young woman with a passion for physics, daring to think and act boldly; or a traditional culture enthusiast, innovating and preserving ancient arts with a delicate touch. These genuine and heartwarming stories not only depict women who refuse to be confined by societal expectations but also allow others to see the endless possibilities life has to offer, inspiring more young people to forge ahead fearlessly. Let’s take a closer look at these female users and learn about their stories.

On Soul App, a teacher shares how she supports rural children through education.

In 2015, user @AlwaysKind became a teacher at a primary school in rural village. In her first class, she encouraged the children, "The shortest way to get out of the mountains is to study hard!" She persisted in helping her students grow with her professionalism and dedication for eight years.

To better understand the lives of rural children, she wrote 500,000 words of educational essays amidst her daily work, documenting the lives of children left behind in remote mountainous areas and capturing the poignant stories between teachers and students. She raised money for children in need and celebrated the birthdays of left-behind children, taking practical actions to support the growth of each student.

Sometimes, she feels lost in her busy schedule and regrets not being able to spend more time with her young children. But when she sees her students' progress and hears their heartfelt gratitude, she smiles brightly again and continues with her work.

In addition to her busy school life, @AlwaysKind has always been an ambassador for her hometown, using her artistic skills to record its beauty and share it with others. Over the past few years, she has painted nearly 100 pieces showcasing her hometown's unique features, including not only the stunning scenery of local forest but also local delicacies like punch cake, chicken dumplings, and lamb noodles. Her heartfelt watercolor paintings have received high praise from Soul App users.

Perhaps compared to the countryside, cities offer better educational resources, more development opportunities, and improved living conditions. However, in @AlwaysKind 's eyes, the countryside has green hills, fresh air, and lovely, genuine children. With her love for the countryside and her commitment to education, she strives to quench rural children's thirst for knowledge, carry their dreams, and help them step into a broader world.

Fueled by passion, a female Soul App user successfully entered the top university to study physics, breaking gender stereotypes.

In February this year, then Gen Zer, @Snowy received a special gift: an acceptance letter from the Physics Department at Cambridge University. "Finally, I've waited for you!" she excitedly shared on Soul App. It was the perfect way to acknowledge her challenging journey since she began studying physics, and it also served as a powerful response to certain prejudices.

At a time when the study of literature and science was once rife with stereotypes, a young girl, @Snowy, found herself captivated by physics and curious to "figure out how the world works." She recalls her first encounter with physics in her freshman year, "I was so excited that I couldn't sleep all night, thinking about using the speed formula I had just learned to calculate the time difference between lightning and thunder to determine the distance from me." Later, she became obsessed with the interplay of wave-particle duality, marveling at how the quantum world differed from the classical framework of reality, and "used to dream dreams that were pie-in-the-sky and not rigorous in their fundamentals, but so sincere and so burning."

While dreams are undoubtedly beautiful, the process of pursuing them can be far from glamorous. Spending late nights conducting experiments and completing assignments, @Snowy's day-to-day life seemed mundane. Occasionally, she, too, succumbed to procrastination. That's why she signed up for Soul App, a platform where she could track her progress daily and relieve some of the stress that comes with studying.

@Snowy's persistence and sharing have also inspired many young people who are also pursuing their dreams. She met many thoughtful and talented individuals on Soul App to journey together, from MIT students to experts in physics or related fields, and friends with diverse knowledge. They discuss problems in the comment section, seeking the truth together, and often engage in conversations about quantum mechanics and academic issues in group chats, allowing everyone to experience the beauty of physics and grow together.

She believes that "if you stick to your own path, display your own attitude, and shine your own light, you will undoubtedly find friends and partners who will walk with you through thick and thin as you continue to improve."
