‘Bharat Matrimony’ Survey Reveals the key Expectations People possess while Choosing Partners

New Delhi, India, July 23, 2017: A survey regarding match-making was conducted by 'Bharat Matrimony' and the aim was to figure out what people actually look for in a life partner. A shocking number of 11,682 participants shared their experiences and opinions.

According to the reports of ANI, while responding to the query of what they would not compromise on, 65% of men pointed to the option of staying with their parents after marriage. Women were found picking career and independence as the two major things that they are not willing to compromise on.

According to the report, the participants were also asked- while settling for a partner, what they were willing to compromise on. Most of the male participants i.e. 56% were found answering that they were ready to compromise on the salary that their fiancée earned; while a majority of the women i.e. 55% answered that looks of the fiancé could be compromised on but definitely not the salary.

When it comes to what one is willing to let go for the sake of the partner or the relationship, both men and women were found to be flexible with their expectations, ANI reported.

Reportedly, about 85% of both the men and the women mentioned that they want their partners to be completely frank. 75% of the female participants stated 'respect for the parents' by the prospective husband is extremely necessary, and around 65% of men want that their fiancée would be ready to take care of their parents.

According to the reports, it was observed that 65% of women were cool with their spouses not being able to drop them at workplace daily, but women are not okay with their husbands taking fewer responsibilities in the households.

Head of Marketing at Matrimony.com, Kaushik Tiwari, said after publishing the results, that the surveys are attempts of BharatMatrimony to research the insight of the consumers and keep on improving the connection with the customers in order to stay relevant.
