New Website of AAP has Scrapped Donors’ List, thus Betraying People, says Munish Raizada

Chicago, August 6, 2017: Aam Aadmi Party's newly launched website has not only removed the donor list section but also has done away with its donation policy that promises real time financial transparency. The annual income and expenses statements are also missing from the new website.

Chanda Bandh Satyagraha condemns Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal's decision of completely dumping the financial transparency by backtracking from its donation policy as promised at the time of inception.

Chanda Bandh Satyagraha, initiated by suspended AAP member Dr. Munish Kumar Raizada demands an explanation from AAP convenor:

1. When as per AAP website 92 percent donations are digital and AAP gives all the donors' info to the IT department and EC, then why the party is shying away from showing donation list? Why Kejriwal is shielding under the excuse of 'harassment by BJP Govt'? In any case, the identities of the donors are with state authorities!

We are of the firm opinion that the very excuse has been cooked to mislead AAP donors and volunteers so that misappropriation of funds and favoritism can happen smoothly.

2. Likewise, with the removal of income and expenses statement, now donors and volunteers, the real stake holders of AAP will never come to know about where and why the Chanda chor gang of our party is spending the funds.

3. With Financial opacity and High command culture, Arvind Kejriwal has completely hijacked AAP that was supposed to be a common man's party and has converted it into his own fiefdom.

Arvind Kejriwal must explain, as to who all were involved in this decision and who authorized him to move against AAP's constitution. AAP's doing away with its donation policy shows not only Arvind Kejriwal's sinister intentions of becoming one other corrupt politician but also shows how toothless, volunteers and systems and processes within our AAP have become.
