Hindu Mass Grave is an Evidence of Brutality on Hindus in Myanmar

Four days ago, Myanmar Police had recovered 28 dead bodies of from a Hindu Mass Grave, and it was only a few hours that, 17 more bodies were recovered by the police on Monday.

Since the day this conflict has started the situation for Hindus has been worsening in Myanmar.

On Wednesday, the corpses found by police were kept on display for the press. Some of the journalists were taken to the location where Hindu Mass Grave was found by the military.

According to VOA journalists, who visited the location said that total 45 bodies were on the display, the condition of bodies was very bad.

The Burmese staff of VOA said that the bodies were found blindfolded with their hands tied and their throat slit.

Their relatives and family were standing in a line and identifying the corpses. That scene was so horrific that even the journalists were also in a shock.

The Blame Game

After Myanmar Police discovered these corpses, the Military and the terrorist organization ARSA have been playing blame games among themselves.

Myanmar Military says that ARSA, which is an Islamic organization, is behind the Hindu Mass Murder.

But recently ARSA issued a press letter on its Twitter account, in which they have denied any role behind Hindu Mass Murder. "Burmese Govt has to Stop 'Victim Blaming', Allow Investigations into Atrocities; ARSA Denies of Targetting Civilians" said the press release.

What are these terrorist?

ARSA stands for 'Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army', also known by the name Harakat al-Yaqee.

ARSA claims that it is fighting on behalf of Rohingya Muslims, and are in the continuous clash with the government since last October.

The leader of Militant group ARSA is a man called Ata Ullah. He is the one who is said to be responsible for the conflict and death of thousands of people in the Rakhine state and the nearby areas.

Who is behind Hindu Mass Murders?

There is a possibility that killings may have been done under a Propaganda.

Myanmar military may have done this to invoke India and frame ARSA as the culprits behind the Hindu Mass Murder.

As per the information villagers gave to VOA reporters, Some Hindus were in favor of the government, so they were murdered.

While three different women, when approached individually, told reporters which was common among all three of them.

They said that, on 25 August night, a group of masked men came and about 100 Hindus were taken captive and were taken to the Mass Grave area.

Later some of them were identified as Rohingya Muslims by the people there.

While the accusations fly, the bodies await cremation. Police have been guarding the site of the mass graves, lighting fires at night to keep wild dogs away.
