Meet the 15-year-old Who Has Made an Electricity-Powered Wooden Standing Fan

Thomas Owusu is currently a class 5 pupil of the Bokabo D/A Primary School at Sefwi
Bokabo, in the Bodi District of the Western region of Ghana.

However, despite his relatively young age, he is a boy who appears destined for
greatness with the kind of skill he boasts.

As reports Yen.com.gh news the 15-year-old became an internet sensation when his
innovation – an electrically powered standing fan made of wood – went viral on social
media.

Pictures of his works were originally posted on social media by his teacher, Max Owusu,
and the post has since been shared over 2900 times, creating huge buzz around the
prodigy.

In a Facebook post, Mr. Owusu shared some pictures of young Thomas holding his
specially invented fan, describing his student as a "geBeneath the photo, he wrote: "See this young but creative electrical engineer at my school who designed a wooden stand fan that can be operated electronically. I believe in a future that is realized today not tomorrow."

A 15-year-old Ghanaian boy has redefined innovation after inventing a wooden standingfan which runs on electricity.

Since the news of Thomas' invention went viral, many Ghanaians have commented him
for his innovation.

Meanwhile, others have also called on government to support the young innovator to
reach greater heights since it's obvious he has the talent.

Speaking to Accra-based Citi FM, his teacher said they are currently looking for funding
and sponsorship to help Thomas showcase his talent to the world.

Thomas has already made two electrically powered wooden fans, which he builThe 15-year-old is also planning on making other wooden fans that run solely on
batteries, to add to his already existing innovation.
