Gurugram bus stops to have digital screens, real-time info on buses

Commuters in Gurugram will soon be able to access real-time information on city bus arrivals and departures at bus wait shelters.
In addition, 100 minibuses will be added to the present fleet to strengthen the city's public transportation system.

Haryana Transport Minister Moolchand Sharma made the announcement at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium Sector-38 in Gurugram during the Republic Day celebrations.

He also discussed Gurugram's metro connectivity extension ambitions, saying that the government recently accepted a proposal for a 28-kilometer metro network expansion and forwarded it to the Centre, where it received in-principle permission.

He stated that the Department will be installing digital display boards, known as passenger information systems (PIS), in various bus wait shelters across the city in the near future.

The Gurugram Metropolitan City Bus Limited (GMCBL) now has a fleet of 189 buses that operate on 30 distinct routes. According to authorities, after talking with public representatives and others, roughly 32 suitable minibus routes have been identified.

PIS will be deployed in bus wait shelters soon, according to the offices. He stated that it will assist travelers in receiving real-time information on the location of public transportation.
