Maximum of the children are with their single parent.

Since April 1, 2020, 1,47,492 children have lost their parents due to Covid-19 or other reason, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) data showed. After including 10,094 orphans in need of care and protection, a total of 1,36,910 children lost their parents, 488 were abandoned, pushing the total to 1,47,492, the Commission informed Supreme Court on the basis of data uploaded by states and union territories on its 'Baal Swaraj Portal-COVID care' up to January 11.

The report said that the job reshuffle in India is being led by freshers with up to one year of work experience.

After going through two stressful years of the Covid-19 pandemic, more than 7 in 10 (71 per cent) of professionals questioned their abilities at work more now than before the pandemic while 63 per cent said they suffer from 'imposter syndrome', a new LinkedIn report showed on Tuesday. The 'impostor syndrome' is a psychological pattern in which an individual doubts his/her skills, talents or accomplishments.

In 2018, state heads of ASEAN countries graced the occasion with their presence.

There will be no chief guest at the Republic Day parade this year also as the plan to host state heads of five Central Asian countries -- Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan -- seems to have been cancelled due to the Covid situation in India as well as in the respective nations. Though the Ministry of External Affairs is yet to confirm this officially.

Dr. Richard Benkin is an American scholar and geopolitical analyst, who met Robert Dold and Mohammad Ziauddin five years ago through a House Committee which talked about Ways and Means. Robert Dold was, formerly, a Congressman and Mohammad Ziauddin, Bangladesh’s then Ambassador to the United States. The Committee on Ways and Means focuses on international trades and agreements related to trade and tariffs. This meeting was held to discuss the torment and torture that is faced by the Hindu community. It was set by Robert Dold, who had been a part of the Congressional Committee, to discuss and advocate the need to focus on the lack of action from Bangladesh.
