Legendary Actress Madhubala soon to be Immortalized at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in New Delhi

New Delhi, Jul 26, 2017: Hindi Film Industry's legendary actress Madhubala is the latest Bollywood celebrity to join the Madame Tussauds wax museum which is about to open in Delhi, later this year.

The basis for the styling of the wax model will be on the actor's praise worthy performance as Anarkali in K Asif's Mughal-E-Azam (1960). She will be the first figure from the classical world of Indian cinema to be displayed at the attraction.

Guests at the museum will be able to see the iconic character of Anarkali come alive in the Bollywood zone which will bring to light the classic age of Indian cinema in a fun and modern manner.

Madhubala was a leading Indian film actress and was admired for her acting prowess and beauty. She has been highly regarded amongst the most influential personalities of Hindi cinema. Her charisma was recognized globally when she was featured in one of the popular American Magazine's – Theatre Arts in 1952. In her brief lifetime, the famous actress attained huge stardom, which only a few have achieved. To honor her, a commemorative postage stamp featuring Madhubala was issued by the Indian Post in 2008.

Madhubala has left a memorable imprint on people's hearts by being part of classics like Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi (1958), Kala Paani (1958), and Howrah Bridge (1959). According to PTI report, Mr. Anshul Jain, General Manager, and Director Merlin Entertainments India Pvt Ltd said, "We are glad to have the figure of Madhubala at Madame Tussauds Delhi. She continues to rule the hearts of millions of fans in the nation."

He further added, "we are sure that her magnetic beauty will attract her fans to click a selfie and relive a special moment with her and be transported back to the golden era of cinema."

Other Bollywood stars that will have their wax figures at the museum to be housed in the iconic Royal Building include Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, along with singers Shreya Ghoshal and Asha Bhonsle.
