'I Watched Movies From 90's Era to Adapt the role'

How you got the Naina's role?

It was very unexpected and quick for me to get the role of Naina in Yeh Unn Dino Ki Baat Hai serial. I went with my friend for her audition TV Show and then there I was asked to give the audition as well. The next day I got a call for the screen test and after few days I got selected for the role.

Being a debutant, how was your experience on the set of Yeh Unn Dino Ki Baat Hai serial?

Honestly speaking, it was very different from what I have heard about this industry. I feel I got the most supportive team, who helped me in each step and within few weeks I felt like they are my family. I can freely ask questions about my role and everyone here helps me wholeheartedly on the sets of Yeh Unn Dino Ki Baat Hai serial.

What all preparations you did for this role?

We are playing altogether a different era with which came a lot of excitement and hard work. To prepare for the role I sat with my mom and asked about her Childhood memories, that how she behaved in front of her family, friends, and relatives? What were all restrictions there at that time? Also, I watched movies like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Maine Pyar Kia to understand the love stories of 90s Era.

What difference do you find in Present and 90s Era?

The era of the 90s was very different from today's time. At that time children were not that outspoken or open to their parents. Girls were not allowed to talk or laugh very much in front of relatives outsiders. But Today we have much freedom to follow our heart.

What Kind of role would you like to experiment with in future?

I will welcome any kind of role which will help in improving me as an actor in TV show. I wont think twice to step out of my comfort zone for a role. But once in future I would like to play a negative role in screen.

How much can you relate to Naina in your real life?

I can totally relate to Naina in my real life. Naina is studious , Chirpy and ambitious girl. She loves her family and is not all interested in world outside her books and family. In real life , I am also very studious and my mom has told me many time to stop studying all the time.

In future would you like to try for Bollywood movies?

No. Since childhood I was always interested in T and would like to continue my career in TV. I will try different genres and grow as an actor in TV industry itself.
