In the last few years, Kapil Sharma has managed to establish himself not only as a stand-up comedian but also as an anchor and actor. It's safe to say, he is the most popular and loved personality on Indian television. If you thought he had it easy and he became an overnight star with his 'The Kapil Sharma Show' then you must know that his stardom is the result of a decade's struggle. This is a man we know, but a journey we don't.

When it comes to spreading smile and laughter on people's face, then no one can do it better than comedy king Kapil Sharma. After the huge success of "The Kapil Sharma Show" suddenly the show's TRPs started sinking when Sunil Grover said goodbye to the show, after his brawl with Kapil Sharma. Grover played two extremely famous and loved characters on the show – Dr Mashoor Gulati and Rinku Bhabhi. The audience missed those characters, and this was the main cause for the dipping TRPs. Sharma tried to get veteran comedians like Sunil Pal, Raju Shrivastav, and Ehsaan Qureshi to try and save the sinking TRPs, but this did not work. In the last few episodes, the show aired a re-run of an old episode, since Kapil was in the hospital due to low blood pressure and could not shoot.

Kapil Sharma's (36) journey from humble beginnings in Amritsar to the top of the charts of entertainment television channels is hardly unknown to TV-loving Indians. While his rise has been meteoric—his second film Firangi released on December 1—there have been questions about whether he may have passed his peak. When his once-popular show Comedy Nights with Kapil was taken off air in 2016, Sharma managed to stay in the limelight with The Kapil Sharma Show, which was soon scripted and sent on air. But early this year, the second show too was pulled off the air because of controversies he had with his peers. But after facing these controversies, the actor did not clog his talent and got awarded the CNN IBN's Indian of the Year. He has also featured on The Forbes India Celebrity 100 list not once, but four-time, which is a fine indication for his fans that they might see The Kapil again Indian Television soon.
