Coronavirus, a large family of deadly viruses has taken the world by storm. The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is a new strain of disease that was first discovered in China in 2019.

The deadly virus is everywhere and not taking proper precautions to prevent COVID-19 can be proven dangerous for your lives. As of now, there are more than 250,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases around the world. But what's scary is that there are still many undetected cases around the world.

Coronavirus clearly doesn't differentiate between the rich and poor and many famous personalities from around the world have been tested positive for having COVID-19.

Here's a list of these popular faces from around the world, who are now COVID-19 patients:

Entertainers:

1. Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson

Thomas Jeffrey Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson are both American actors and producers. Both of them were tested positive for having coronavirus in Austalia. The actor took to Instagram to annouce about his wife's and his ill-health. The couple has been released from the hospital and are now in self-quarantine. Both of them are isolated and are recovering slowly.

2. Idris Elba

Idris Elba is an English actor, writer, producer, DJ, musician, rapper and singer. On the 16th of March, Elba announced that he was diagnosed with COVID-19 amid the pandemic. According to a video the actor posted on Twitter, he feels "OK" and is showing no symptoms of the disease.

3. Olga Kurylenko

Olga Konstiantinivna Kurylenko is a Ukrainian-born French actress and model. She is best-known for her role in the James Bond film, Quantun of Solace. The actress was tested positive from having coronavirus on March 15. The actress has noted progress and is slowly recovering now.

4. Kristofer Hivju

Kristofer Hijvu is a 41-years-old Norwegian actor, best-known for his role in the popular TV drama Game of Thrones. On March 16, the actor announced that he was tested positive for having the novel coronavirus. The actor reported mild symptoms of cold.

5. Rachel Matthews

Rachel Lynn Matthews is an American actress who is popularly known for her roles in the films Happy Death Day and Frozen 2. The 26-years-old actress took to Instagram to announce that she was tested positive for coronavirus.

6. Charlotte Lawrence

Charlotte Lawrence is a young American singer-songwriter and model who is 19-years-old. The teenage celebrity was diagnosed with having COVID-19. The singer has urged everyone to take self-isolation seriously and has advised her fans to follow all the necessary precautions to prevent this deadly disease.

7. Daniel Dae Kim

Daniel Dae Kim is a 51-years-old actor, voice actor and producer who is popular for his roles in the movie Lost, Hawaii Five-0, Angel and the TV series Saints Row. The actor believes that he got COVID-19 while shooting for his upcoming series, "New Amsterdam". Since then, the actor has been updating his followers about his health progress on Twitter.

8. Kanika Kapoor

Kanika Kapoor is an Indian playback singer. The singer was tested positive for COVID-19 on March 20. After her return from London to India, she threw a grand party with around 400 guests in Lucknow. The party was attended by prominent personalities and bureaucrats. The singer was criticised for not following the 'self-quarantine' advisory and not undergoing a test post-travel.

9. Itziar Ituño

Itziar Ituño is a Spanish actress who is best-known for a role as Inspector Raquel Murillo in the Spanish TV series Money Heist. The actress was tested positive for having Coronavirus on March 19 and since then she has been in self-isolation.

10. Indira Varma

Indira Ann Varma is a British actress who is populary known for her roles in the movie "Kamasutra: A Tale of Love" and the TV series "Game of Thrones. On March 19, the actress revealed that she was tested positive for having coronavirus.

Sportsmen:

1. Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant is an American professional basketball player for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The 31-years-old NBA star is kept under complete isolation after being tested for having COVID-19.

2. Daniele Rugani

Daniele Rugani is a profession Italian footballer. He plays as a centre back for Serie A club Juventus and the Italy national team. On March 11, the footballer announced that he was tested positive for COVID-19 but did not show any symptoms.

3. Rudy Gobert

Ruby Gobert is a French basketballer player who plays for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The payer was tested positive for having coronavirus on March 11. He was one of the first sportsmen to be diagnosed with the disease.

4. Donovan Mitchell

Donovan Vernell Mitchell Jr. is an American professional basketball player for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association. The basketballer revealed about being diagnosed with COVID-19 and the star is being called the face of prevent of coronavirus.

5. Mikel Arteta

Mikel Arteta Amatriain is a Spanish professional football coach and is also a former player. Arteta was tested positive for COVID-19 and is now on the road to recovery. Around 100 Arsenal personnel, including the first-team squad and coaching staff, have been self-isolating since Arteta's positive test.

6. Callum Hudson

Callum James Hudson-Odoi is an English professional footballer who plays as a winger for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national team. The 19-years-old sportsman has made a great progress after being diagnosed with COVID-19 .

Politicians

1. Sophie Trudeau

Sophie Grégoire, also known as Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, is the wife of the 23rd prime minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau. Sophie was kept on isolation after having mild symptoms of COVID-19 and being diagnosed with the same on March 12. She said, "Although I'm experiencing uncomfortable symptoms of the virus, I will be back on my feet soon."

2. Peter Dutton

Peter Craig Dutton is an Australian Liberal Party politician serving as Minister for Home Affairs since 2017, and has served as Member of Parliament for Dickson since 2001. The 49-years old politician was tested positive for having coronavirus on March 13. He was discharged from the hospital 5 days later and is now following the self-isolation norms.

3. Mario Diaz Balart

Mario Rafael Díaz-Balart Caballero is a Republican U.S. Representative for Florida's 25th congressional district. The 58-years old politician was tested positive for having coronavirus on March 18. Balart said that the virus is really bad and the symptoms are very painful. "COVID-19 hit me really bad, he added.

4. Nadine Dorries

Nadine Vanessa Dorries is a British politician serving as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Mental Health, Suicide Prevention and Patient Safety since 2019. She has also authored many books. She was diagnosed with COVID-19 on March 10. It is unknown how many meetings Dorries attended as a carrier of the virus.

5. Iraj Harirchi

Iraj Harirchi Tabrizi is an Iranian politician and physician. He is current deputy minister of Health and Medical Education. He was tested positive for COVID-19 on February 25 and has been self-quarantined.

6. Begona Gomez

Begona Gomez, the wife of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, was tested positive for coronavirus on March 15. Her condition has so far been reported to be "good."

7. Francis Suarez

Francis Xavier Suarez is an American attorney and politician serving as the 43rd mayor of Miami. Suarez confirmed that he was infected by coronavirus on March 15. He is the second person confirmed to be infected in Miami-Dade County.

Albert II is the reigning Prince of Monaco and head of the princely house of Grimaldi. He confirmed that he was infected by coronavirus on March 15.
