Japanese Film Festival 2022 to go online

Starting on February 14, the two-week festival will play 20 globally popular Japanese films of various genres and styles to commemorate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and India.

The festival's curation is based on the concept of 'Journey,' and 20 films have been carefully chosen to illustrate the various parts of this theme.

"The popularity of Japanese material has been noticeably expanding in the Indian landscape, which has been further encouraged by a rise in online content consumption in the current context," said Koji Sato, Director General, Japan Foundation, New Delhi, in response to the news.
