Olympics 2016 tickets experiences rise in sale

About 1.2 million tickets have been sold in a week for the Rio Summer Olympics 2016, said the organizers.

According to the sales, volleyball, football, basketball are amongst the most popular sport as compared to the others, reported a Chinese agency.

Moreover, a total of 7.2 million tickets will be sold with 70 percent reserved for the Brazilians.

About 7.5 million tickets will be issued and approximately 3.8 million of these will be available for 70 Brazilian reals (US$30) or less.

In Summer Olympics 2012 at London more than 7,000,000 tickets were sold. The ticket prices ranged from £20 for many events to £2,012 for the most expensive seats at the opening ceremony.
