Manish Sisodia inaugurates foot over-bridge on Labor Day; Inauguration plaque contains names of construction workers

Inaugurating a foot over-bridge in Patpadganj, Deputy CM of Delhi, Manish Sisodia gave a perfect Labour Day gift to the workers involved with its construction. For the first time, the inauguration plaque acknowledged the contribution of the workers.

The names of the workers were put on the plaque acknowledging their work.

The over-bridge's inauguration plaque acknowledges the workers who build it and praises their hard work. Names of five workers Sanjay, Arun Tiwari, Salman, Sultan and Pankaj are on the plaque.

Every year 1st of May is celebrated as the International Workers Day or May Day. It is a gesture to commemorate workers and is promoted by a cross section of anarchists, socialists, and communists. International Workers Day is built on the tradition of May Day, a spring time festival in the northern hemisphere. During the Second International, Soviet Union adopted the day as a token to celebrate the importance of laborers and workers.
