The Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs was in Panaji to address Bharatiya Janata Party workers on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the 1975-77 Emergency.

"The Congress has been out of power for a year. They (its leaders) should come out of the depression caused by the defeat. They are disturbed because of the defeat. To correct their minds, they should relax on a Goa beach," Naqvi said.

He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had "booted out" corrupt elements who operated from the national capital's power corridors.
