Swaraj Abhiyan, an initiative by Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan, has condemned the recent instances of violence against Muslims in Atali village near Faridabad.

The group has demanded a reply from the NDA government and given it the rough side of the tongue by calling the incident a "shameful event to occur under a democratically elected government."

On May 25, a Mosque and over 25 houses were burnt in the village by communal hooligans which led to the scared Muslim villagers taking shelter at the Police Station. Many Muslim families, fearing their lives have fled their homes. However, the police has not arrested a single person in the case so far.

Swaraj Abhiyan has decided to ensure peace and harmony in the region through its Aman Committee.
