Family of 3 buried alive in Himachal Pradesh landslides

Shimla: Three members of a family were buried alive on Saturday when boulders fell on their house in a village in Himachal Pradesh's Mandi district, police said.

The house in Dharampur collapsed due to landslides in the area triggered by heavy rainfall, a police official at the site told a media outlet.

Rescue workers are trying to retrieve the bodies of three missing people, including an aged couple.

The local bus stand at Dharampur, some 200 km from the state capital, was also damaged by flash-floods.

The state has been experiencing heavy rainfall since Friday.
