G20 (World)

The G20 summit is an annual gathering of leaders from the world's major economies to discuss and address global issues.[IANS]
It is a continuation of the previous two working group meetings held in Chennai and Amritsar earlier. [IANS]
G20 is important because it comprises about 85 per cent of the global GDP and about 78 per cent of the global trade, 90 per cent of the patents in the world and nearly two-thirds of the global population. [IANS]
The meeting was held under the Indian G20 presidency on April 12-13, on the margins of the 2023
G-20, the Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) in the Bandra Kurla Complex, officials said here on Tuesday.
