Patna, Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav will attend a joint rally of the JD-U, RJD, Congress and NCP here on August 30, RJD leader Lalu Prasad said on Sunday.

Lalu Prasad said West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee would also be invited to the Gandhi Maidan rally.

"Mulayam Singh Yadav will address the rally," the Rashtriya Janata Dal leader told his party leaders and workers here.

The former chief minister reiterated he had joined hands with Chief Minister and Janata Dal-United leader Nitish Kumar to defeat the "BJP and the RSS".

"We will reply to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's remark about the DNA of Nitish Kumar at our rally," he said. "Modi has insulted Bihar, and Biharis will take revenge."
