After a threat was issued to Justice Dipak Misra, who was on the panel which accorded the death penalty to 1993 Mumbai serial blasts convict, Yakub Memon, an anonymous email threatening a blast has been received by the Supreme Court last week.

All the law interns have been prohibited from entering the court for a month as well as the litigants who come to consult the lawyers.

Previously, the threat that was given to Dipak Misra, stated that "irrespective of the protection you may avail, we will eliminate you." neither of the threat letters mentions Yakub Memon or anything related to him. While Z-plus security was allocated to Misra, the other judges on the panel were also given high security.

HL Dattu, the Chief Justice of India spoke to the Supreme Court bar association yesterday, elaborating them about the security measures in relation to the threat.
