The gunman on Tuesday fired a single shot through the front window of "Billu's Indian Eatery" located at Wigram Street in Harris Park, Sydney Morning Herald reported on Wednesday.

About 30 to 40 people were inside the restaurant when the shot was fired.

"The bullet missed everyone inside and hit a shelf. No one was injured," a New South Wales Police spokeswoman was quoted as saying.

The police are investigating if the shooting was a targeted attack. They are also interviewing the staff and the customers present in the restaurant.
