77 dead in MP due to rains since June 1

Bhopal: Seventy-seven people have died and over 10,000 houses have been damaged due to rains in Madhya Pradesh in last three months, government statistics have revealed.

According to Revenue Department statistics, from June 1 to August 31, above average rain in 11 districts, average rain in 25 districts and less than average rains were received in 15 districts of the state. While these 15 districts have been waiting for the rain gods to smile, many places have witnessed mayhem due to rains, with Sihor district witnessing maximum damage and 19 deaths along with 1,800 houses getting badly affected.
