Graffiti gangs paint Kolkata in myriad shades

Kolkata, the City of Joy is slowly becoming the city of colors. A group of youngsters with an artistic streak and a few spray cans are turning the morose walls of the city into bright colorful graffiti.

These pop art graffitis usually have acronyms such as SREKs, SHAFs and the SNIKs, that claim the responsibility of the art.

The mundane political slogans have been replaced by contemporary notions that are though-provoking,witty and even satirical.

The color palette adopted by these youngsters has surely given a new face to Kolkata.
