Chicago to host Indian cultural extravaganza ‘Kala Utsav’ this November

Chicago: The Consulate General of India, Chicago is organizing a mega cultural event- 'Kala Utsav' on November 1st to celebrate the rich talent and diversity of Indian art and culture.

The event will feature dance performances by famous dance groups across Midwest area trained in various Indian dance forms including Bharatnatyam, Manipuri, Kathakali, and Kathak among others. Around 200 performers are expected to participate in the event.

This will be the second edition of the event. The first edition was hosted by honorable Consul General Dr. Ausaf Sayeed in August 2014.

The event will be held at Copernicus Center, 5216 Lawrence Ave, Chicago, IL between 5 PM and 9 PM and free registration for the event can be done at their website.
