Israel: An Indian medical student found dead

Tel Aviv: Tel Aviv University of Israel found a 27-year-old Indian medical student dead in his room on Monday, said police. The reason behind his death is still unclear.

The victim, Raj Kumar Raja was studying on cancer research at the university was a research student in cancer studies at the university.

Raja belongs from Kuppam in Andhra Pradesh. After he was found missing in the lab on Monday and didn't answer the phone calls, university staff opened his room.

University staff found him lying down the floor. Medical staff and police confirmed his death.

"An investigation found no suspicion of a crime and the student's body has been transferred to the forensic institute for an autopsy," told a police spokesman.

"The police is currently examining the situation, and the university is still waiting to receive the official police report," Orna Cohen, Tel Aviv University spokesperson said.
