Under Construction: Soon to be largest Hindu Temple in North America

Burnaby, Canada: Hinduism, which is recognized as the oldest as well as the third largest religion in the world, is about to set up a new temple for the community again.

According to a report, the temple, which, when completed is set to become the largest Hindu temple in North America, is about 75% complete and is located in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. The temple will be 31,000 square feet and will be accommodating about 800 people – there will be a dining room along with a stage and seats for 800 people as well. The bonus, is that, the temple will also include an auditorium/wedding-hall, a multipurpose Kirtan-Katha room, classrooms, provisions for worship services, and hosting of cultural with religious activities.

The present Burnaby Hindu Temple, is known as the oldest temple in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia and it remains open on all days. The temple also runs a Ganesh Hindi School.
