Automobile major Maruti Suzuki India joins Online Cab app Ola to train aspiring Drivers-partners

New Delhi, December 10, 2016: Automobile major Maruti Suzuki India on Friday said it has signed a pact with online cab aggregator Ola to train aspiring drivers-partners.

The automobile major said under the 'Maruti Ola Training Program' the company will target to benefit 40,000 individuals, Ola partner-drivers in safe driving over a period of three years.

"We are glad that through this partnership with Ola, we will be able to expand quality driving training while creating opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship," said R.S. Kalsi, Executive Director, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki.

"We target to train 40,000 individuals over three years."

The company said the pilot phase of the driving training programme will be rolled out in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and the national capital region (NCR), and will be gradually rolled out in Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Pune. (IANS)
