Pakistan Releases another Video, Claims to Destroy Indian Military Posts at Line of Control (LoC)

Islamabad, June 5, 2017: Pakistani army has issued a yet another video claiming to have caused destruction to Indian military posts at Line of Control (LoC). The video is 27 seconds long and shows the killing of five Indian soldiers while retaliating to India's "unprovoked ceasefire violation" in Tatta Pani sector along the LoC.

Major General Asif Ghafoor, the Pakistani spokesperson posted the video on his twitter handle in wee hours today. In addition to the video, he wrote, "Video clip showing destruction of Indian posts on LOC by Pak Army in response to unprovoked Indian firing on innocent citizens."

A similar video had been released by Pakistan earlier on May 24 showing heavy damages caused to the Indian posts across the LoC, in a tit- for-tat action after the Indian Army released a clip of the "punitive fire assaults" on Pakistani positions, mentioned PTI report.

Pakistani Army's media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) declared that Pakistani military has killed five Indian soldiers and destroyed Indian bunkers in the firing which took place yesterday (as claimed by Pakistani army).

The ISPR stated that Pakistani troops "violently responded" and many Indian bunkers were destroyed in the firing. However, no further details of the cross-border exchange have been provided by the army.

According to Indian Army, Pakistani army violated ceasefire yesterday which resulted in the injury of a woman. Pakistani army violated ceasefire twice in two sectors of Poonch district by firing mortar shells on forward posts and civilian areas along the LoC ,so the Indian army decided to retaliate.

There has been an environment of tension over the Himalayan region between the neighboring countries since the case of Kulbhushan Jadhav and the stay order issued by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on the execution order of Kulbhushan.
