‘Mahabharata’ in Other Languages, ‘Randamoozham’ in Malayalam

July 06, 2017: The controversies over the title of Shreekumar Menon's new project still continue, but the director has made it clear that the 1000 crore magnum opus starring Mohanlal as the hero will be called Randamoozham in Malayalam.

The film will be called Mahabharata, based on M T Vasudevan Nair's Randamoozham movie, outside Malayalam.

According to SIFY reports, There have been threats from some Hindu hardliners who do not want the film to be allowed to release with the title Mahabharata because this one is author M T Vasudevan Nair's version of the grand epic.

Producer B R Shetty and director Shreekumar Menon have stated that they have the blessings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The production is anticipated to be part of the Make in India campaign as well.
