Somali Fishermen Face Challenges because of Foreign Vessels

The Somalian waters are one of the richest in Africa. But, the local fishermen in Jason Patinkin, the port city of Bossaso are finding it hard to make ends meet as they struggle to compete with the foreign vessels. Large fishing boats from countries like Iran trespass and outfish them. "We don't have a powerful government who can stop these illegal fishermen who are creating problems," said Abdiqadir.
