The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday lashed out at the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Samajwadi Party (SP) for accusing it of allegedly hounding them through the CBI.

BJP spokesman Harish Chandra Srivastava said: "Birds of the same feather are flocking together and their allegations are hollow.

"The corrupt are ganging up now, trying to protect each other by crying foul. But this will not cut ice any longer," he said.

The BJP leader was reacting to accusations of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and BSP supremo Mayawati that the CBI was being used by the BJP to intimidate its political rivals in the run up to the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. (IANS)
