Earthquake in Pakistan: Twitterati puts the blame on homosexuality

A strong earthquake of magnitude 5.5 hit the northern regions of Pakistan on early Tuesday morning, just before they were preparing for their Roza meal. Tremors of the quake were felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Malakand, Swat, Lower Dir, Abbottabad, Mansehra and several areas of Gilgit-Baltistan.

As reported by media outlets, the epicentre of the earthquake was in Afghanistan, 22km west of Ashkasham.

People in Pakistan took to Twitter, expressing their distressing experience and wishing the safety for all.

However, the social media platform also witnessed some tweets in which some conservative residents had blamed the legalization of same-sex marriage in US, as the cause of the natural disaster in Pakistan!
