Man threatens Bengal minister, gets arrested

Kolkata: A 30-year-old man was on Sunday arrested from West Bengal’s Malda district following a complaint by state minister Krishnendu Narayan Choudhury about getting threatening calls, police said.

“We arrested Subhankar Das from Malda town in connection with the threat messages to the minister,” said a police officer.

Choudhury, the minister for food processing and horticulture, filed a complaint at the English Bazaar police station saying he was getting repeated threats.
